Summer in Australia - Days 3 and 4: Adelaide Hills and the Barossa Valley

From Adelaide, we drove through the hills and into the Barossa Valley, Australia's premier wine producing region. This lush, green, and forested area is dotted with beautiful historic towns and villages. The roads were quiet and tree-lined and all we could see were stone farmhouses, rolling green hills, sheep, cattle, and vineyards. Could it be any more perfect? Not likely. This drive reminded us exactly why we chose the vast continent of Australia as the place for a perfect summer road trip!
