Summer in Australia - Day 6: Coorong and the Naracoorte Caves

On this day, we finally put some kilometers between us and Adelaide. A lot of our day was spent driving a long, long way along narrow, empty highways or unpaved, rural roads. In other words, it was a great day even if our only break from sitting in the van was wandering through the caves at Naracoorte National Park. A huge highpoint of our trip so far came just outside the National Park when we were leaving at dusk. On the side of the road: kangaroos, grazing in the brush. Naturally, I stalked them in the woods to get a closer look and was surprised that they seemed relatively unafraid of my approach. What an experience!
