Adelaide doesn't get much attention when Australia's two big cities -- Sydney and Melbourne -- are in the conversation but, we were pleasantly surprised by how beautiful and inviting this city is. The buildings and homes, built of local lime and sandstone are beautiful and take on a historic as well as a permanent appearance at the same time. The museums and galleries were great and, the Victorian architecture stunning, and the people incredibly hospitable. It was a great place in which to begin our journey!
