We decided on instituting a little allowance system with the boys. They know earn anywhere from
a quarter to a dollar for different chores and tasks around the house. On the flip side, they also have to pay
us if they waste food or do something that causes us to lose our time. When we go out on weekends and the boys want a treat, some ice cream, or to buy a little toy they have to check their balance to see if they have enough money. We've got a real credit/debit system going and the boys have really learned a lot about earning, spending, savings, and even debt. Ko is always asking, "Am I in debt?" We're glad we did it! Watering the garden with Rich, though, that one's just out of pure joy!
