Bay's Tilden Park. It was not a success. Rai was wet and unhappy. Already in a sour mood, the train whistle and deafening release of steam only aggravated him more.Today, we tried again. This time it was a beautiful sunny, Sunday afternoon. We sat as far from the locomotive as we could -- in the very last car. Rai and Ko loved it! Ko especially, was ecstatic the entire time. He
stumbled from my lap to Ashe's lap, back and forth, giggled, laughed and smiled non-stop, and even tried to jump off the moving train from time to time. With that fun behind us, the pressure was really on to finish the afternoon with a bang.
The "bang" came in the form of a visit to Lake Chabot. This time, Rai was in his element. There's nothing he loves more than running around on a trail and finding a spot on a beach from where to throw some rocks and sticks into the waves. So, it was a double homeroom, today, both boys had the time of their lives. Every weekend should be like this.
