Summer of 2024. Grandma and Grandpa visit us in the Balkans. After enjoying Belgrade for a long while, we headed off for a road trip into Croatia. The stops: Zagreb, Plitvice Lakes National Park, and a collection of beautiful spots on the Istrian Peninsula particularly places near Rovinj on the west coast. For many reasons, this visit will remain a time capsule from a different era -- a time that was and never will be again. Beautiful people, memories, and places.
