Pope Francis' tour through the Baltics gave us a long weekend and, a chance to get out of Riga and into the south of Lithuania, the only region we haven't yet had that chance to explore. After a Friday night pass through in Kedainiai, we settled in for a one day, two night stay in Kaunas, Lithuania's second city. Things were pretty quiet around town on Saturday, though, as the city prepared for the Pope's visit on Sunday. And, what better way to prepare for the Pope's visit than to visit Kaunas' infamous Devil's Museum. Still, even better than that was discovering Lithuania's most famous painter, Mikalojus Ciurlionis at the art museum named after him. Amazing!
