Manor Homes

Scattered all over Latvia are the 19th and 20th century countryside manors of dukes and landlords of those eras and, as Ashe was away in Prague for a weekend conference, the boys and I decided to visit two of these manor houses. We had a great time enjoying the frozen pond at Igate Pils and, later that day, a ghostly tour of Birini Palace, followed by more fun on the frozen lake by the palace. It was a great day out -- just the boys.
