8 Days in Belgium, Germany, and The Netherlands - Day 5: Delft and The Hague

On this day, we ventured the furthest west in The Netherlands that we have ever gone. Actually, we visited the province of South Holland proper, with stops in another city of canals, Delft, and the nation's capital, The Hague. This was a day of museums with most of the morning spent at the Corpus Museum (a journey through the human body) and the afternoon at the Mauritshuis in The Hague with a great collection by Dutch masters including Vermeer's "Girl with a Pearl Earring". We finished with another amazing museum, the M.C. Escher Museum which contains a collection that fabulously chronicles the life and work of this innovative designer and artist.
