The Southern Ridges
The National Park Board of Singapore has made a serious effort to get Singaporeans out into the parks,
enjoying the outdoors. One of the best trail networks in the city is the Southern Ridges trail which connects four parks along the ridge of the city's south western hills. On a long day of urban hiking, we walked about 5km of the 10km trail passing the historically famous Alkaff Mansion along the way and crossing the newly famous Henderson Waves Bridge and the Alexandra Arch Bridge. All beautiful, all green, all sleek and modern - it was a great day of hiking with the boys!
