Singapore celebrates it's 50th anniversary as an independent nation. We've witnessed the build up to this weekend fro
m the moment we arrived in Singapore a month and a half ago. Today, we spent the day in the colonial quarter, visiting some museums. We finally made it to the heart of the colonial district: the Raffles Hotel and Chijmes, a former cloister. We were at the Marina Bay for the fireworks show in the evening. The celebration continues tomorrow...
