Our New Life in Singapore: Day 2

After a busy morning of apartment hunting, we stayed close to home for the afternoon which meant more time in the pool and a walk in the nearby parks, Bukit Batok Town Park and Bukit Batok Nature Preserve. We are quickly learning that a lot of life in Singapore happens after 3pm when things cool off a little bit. We joined dozens of other families out for a late afternoon stroll in the parks. Looking for another way to cool down, we got some shakes at The Tiny Diner whose menu stressed that they aren't a haute cuisine kind of place. Their $55 Empire burger seems to imply otherwise.
