Summit #3: Thunder Peak

Hard to miss, towering above Silver Lake are the sheer, volcanic cliffs and pinnacles of Thunder Ridge. At 9408 feet, Thunder Peak is nearly 2000 feet above the water's surface. Attempting to form a triangle around our part of the Sierra, this peak was a great choice for my third summit and the ridge hike was one of the best I've done!
