Trip to Winnipeg - Day 9: Assiniboine Park and the Farm

We couldn't go another day without a visit to Winnipeg's own "central park". Assiniboine Park may not be centrally located and doesn't have the long and thin rectangular shape of the more famous "central parks" but we were surprised to find out that this sprawling park is actually larger than San Francisco's Golden Gate Park, making it much larger than New York's Central Park. In the evening, we took a trip "to the farm" to visit with our old friends Jamison, Wai Leng, and Cory. It was great to see them and to get all six kids together. The kids got along really well as they were all nearly identical ages. It's odd that even in the relatively slow pace of Winnipeg we have developed some urban stress as, out in Starbuck, we felt all anxiety melt away. Life in the country suits us, but we already knew that.
