commented, sadly, in the back of the car, "I missed my birthday. It was last week. I forgot about it." It took a big effort on our part to remind him that his birthday is still 2 months away and that we'll be sure to celebrate it. In the meantime, Rai can live vicariously through the parties of all his little preschool buddies as each one in turn leaves the terrible twos behind and enters the world of the three year old.
