First Christmas Tree

This year, we bought our first Christmas tree as a family. It's a live tree, one that is just a foot or two tall now but will grow a couple feet each year so by the time the boys are a bit older, we may actually have our own, great big tree. The idea of nurturing the same tree and watching it grow with our family is one we like.
This year, we could only get a few ornaments on the little tree, but we've got lots saved in boxes for the years ahead when the tree is more than waist-high. It's good to start small, though, and it doesn't take an 8-foot tree to get Rai and Ko excited. Ever since the tree went up on the deck, they get our there every chance they can. Anticipation of Christmas is building in this home and that's as it should be with little ones (I mean the boys, not the tree) around, right?
