Back in the Mountains

Rai and Ko were so excited to be back at the cabin that they could barely sleep last night. We thought a late afternoon visit to the hotsprings would settle them down, but that didn't work out too well. The sun shower in the springs confused the boys. Rain and sunshine at the same time? Strange. Rai and I had to chat for nearly an hour before he would go to bed. Ko woke up every couple hours all night long. Come to think of it, Rai probably couldn't sleep because the emotional shock of not finding his snowman in the yard was just more than he could bare. "It's summertime. The snowman will come back in winter." was pretty much all we talked about for that hour.
With a night like that, we knew today would mean some good napping. Both boys passed out for hours and hours in the early afternoon. They needed their sleep so bad that Rai and Ko both pulled their blankets right over their heads as if saying, "Don't you dare try to wake me -- I need my beauty sleep!" Tonight, we sleep! (hopefully)
