Poking at Eyes

Rai is a master tactician. When confronted by foes he quickly scans them, looking for a weakness and then attacking that weakness. Whether the enemy is taller or smaller than Rai does not matter. The conclusion is always the same: go for the eyes. Dogs and babies shorter and smaller than Rai are his favorite prey. He jabs at their eyes indiscriminately.
Naturally, Ko is the receiver of many such attacks. We are usually there to stop Rai mid-jab but the occasional eye gouge does get through and poor, defenseless Ko is left perturbed or distraught, sometimes in tears. To be honest, this has only happened a couple times and it pained us so much to see little Ko in tears following such a malicious attack. We keep telling Rai, "if you keep behaving this way, soon no kids at all will want to interact with you". Already Rai has seen this result during his last visit to the Academy of Sciences. At his approach, fearing an attack to their protruding eyes, all the fish in the aquarium disappeared... immediately.
On the one hand, we want nothing more than for Rai to interact with Ko but, on the other, we're always watchful and a bit afraid. Even something as innocent as swinging his brother in the infant swing can turn into disaster at the drop of a hat...
