One Step Closer

It was 'Aloha Week' at Galileo High with a Hawaiian-themed party for teachers on Tuesday and a giant food festival for students on Friday. Along the way, we picked up a few leis for you, Rai-ski.
At home, you on the couch, leis on the table, the next step was as clear as a summer sky: those leis had to go around your neck.
Looking at you with all those leis on, I couldn't help think that we had just come one step closer to a dream of mine: the creation of a padded suit for toddlers. Everyone worries about new-walkers, toddlers on the run with their uncertain steps and balance. Walls, table corners, hardwood floors -- the dangers are everywhere! Now, imagine a toddler in a giant padded suit (like those fake sumo wrestler suits). No worries, right? That toddler could run into things, fall over, and get run over by a truck with no injury to show for it!
All those leis around your neck and chest, not quite the same level of protection, but a vision of the suit that I have dreamt about for months.
