Fish and Chips with the Great Grandparents

Many a Tuesday, you can find Great Grandma Jewel and Great Grandpa Henry at Daly City's Boulevard Cafe for lunch. And, the Tuesdays that they're not there, they are probably just down the road at Joe's of Westlake. Both restaurants offer a bit of that '50s diner nostalgia that residents of Daly City apparently long for.
This past Tuesday, we met your Great Grandparents for lunch at the Boulevard. We turned away the menus. Despite all those grilled and fried options, your Great Grandparents never stray from their perennial favorite: fish and chips. The fish may be a bit hard to find in all that batter, but add a dash, or two, or three, or a dozen of vinegar and all that batter just melts away to reveal the fish inside.
It's been a few months since you've seen your Great Grandparents and they couldn't stop commenting on how much you've changed. It's true, you have changed immensely and it is the universal role of grandparents and great grandparents to comment on "oh my, how big you are" and "oh dear, how much you've grown". So, even if they continue to say this to you when you're older and a bit shy about hearing it, remember to enjoy it nevertheless! You are lucky to have Great Grandparents and we hope that as you get old enough to build some lasting memories, you have many more experiences with them. Lots of people grow up without even grandparents around so you are unique and blessed to have a few generations of love coming your way.
