Just east of central Paris, in the 3rd arrondissement, the Marais neighborhood is one of Paris' most beautiful and, south of that, we were at the Seine River, enjoying the city's two river islands, Ile Saint Louis and the Ile de la Cite where the Notre Dame continues to be renovated following the devastating 2019 fire. As Paris suffered another heat wave, our day of walking the hot streets was taking a toll on us, already but beautiful places like the Places des Vosges, the Hotel de Ville, and the stunning Sainte Chapelle kept us going...
