First Snow

It took a little bit longer this year but we finally got our first real snow here in Riga. We had a couple days of beautiful, fluffy snowfall last week. At school, a bunch of us teachers on break couldn't help but run outside to enjoy it. All in all, it lasted only a few days, though, as temperatures warmed up and snow turned to rain. Most of the snow is gone from around our apartment, but a short drive into the forest brought us to an area where lots of snow remains and the frozen lake looks beautiful.
