A Week in Vietnam

Every Spring, students travel somewhere in South East Asia to take part in a week-long service trip. Last year, I joined the 10th grade class on the trip to Cambodia and the work that we did in a very poor village in northern Cambodia was meaningful and memorable. This year, I joined the 9th grade class on their trip to Vietnam. Compared to the Cambodia trip, this one was quite luxurious as we stayed in a nice hotel for most of the trip and ate at one fantastic restaurant after another. We were well taken care of so once it came time to do our service work in the small village of Dong Binh up the Thu Bong River from beautiful Hoi An, we were well rested and ready to help!
