3 Weeks in South East Asia - Days 19 and 20: Heading Home

By this point, everyone was ready to just take it easy and let the trip wind down. We relaxed some more at our resort on the River Kwai before taking the train back to Bangkok and settling in at a place near the airport sometime in the evening. No one was opposed to sleeping in the next morning although that turned out tough to do as there was a 6:00 a.m. wedding celebration booked at our little "resort" by the airport the next morning. We've never heard of a 6:00 a.m. start for a wedding before but, by 6:30, the party was in full swing with lots of Buddhist chanting followed by loud drumming, singing and spontaneous yelping. It was quite the scene! Eventually, we rolled out of the "resort" at the same time that most of the guests were leaving and headed for the airport. Back home in Singapore, you can probably guess where we ended up for dinner. That's right: Pizza Express! What a trip!
