I think it's safe to say that eating is a national pastime in Singapore. It's a small island and, despite the great parks, getting outdoors (in the western sense of the phrase) is just not possible here so people often choose from the two main activities: shopping and dining. We've discovered a lot of great restaurants already but continue to be on the lookout for our next favorite spot.
