Swimming in Granite Pools

We've heard about the granite pools along the American River for quite some time so it was about time that we check them out. The drive over Carson Pass is always beautiful, the hike was great, and the potholes were fantastic. It was nice to swim in water that wasn't icy cold like it is on our side of the mountains. All in all, it was a great day out at a spot locals like to call the "Roman Baths".
