Coit Tower

I've already learned many times over that San Francisco is a city that I'll keep exploring for a lifetime and that there will always be something new to discover. This past weekend, our latest "discovery" was Coit Tower. Okay, it's hardly a "well kept secret". Every tourist and tourist bus makes a stop at Coit Tower. We've been there a hundred times but, we've never gone to the top. I guess we figured that it was too expensive an elevator ride for just a slightly elevated view of the city.
What we didn't realize is that Coit Tower is deceptively tall. It looks just several stories tall from the exterior. Amazingly, it turns out that it's an impressive 21 stories tall. That extra 21 stories really makes a difference. We enjoyed some very fine panoramic views of San Francisco from up top. We may not ride the elevator again for years to come, but we're sure glad that we did this time!
