The Journey

Kids definitely remind you how to slow down and enjoy the little things. That saying about it being all about the journey and not the destination definitely rings true when hanging out with little ones. A couple mornings this week, Rai, Ko and I drove over to North Beach early in the morning so that Mom could enjoy some sleep a few more times before we go back to work. North Beach is packed with lots to see and some great sights such as Coit Tower, views of the Transamerica Pyramid, and St.Peter and St.Paul Church, amongst others. Yet, despite all these "attractions" Rai and Ko had the most fun (as did I) in a quiet alley where they had tons of fun simply climbing up and down some uniquely steep staircases and knocking on old, wooden doors. We probably spent about an hour in that alley on those two, early mornings. Thanks boys for reminding me how to enjoy the journey, and not thinking too much about the destination!
