Summer Travels - Georgia: Stepantsminda

Stretching from the Black Sea to the Caspian Sea, the Caucasus Mountains separate Georgia, Azerbaijan, and Armenia from Russia to the north. Historically, only two passes through the mountains connected the two regions. The valley at Stepantsminda in Georgia is one of those passes. Reaching up into valleys at over 3000 meters with peaks over 5000 meters, this area is a beautiful alpine region with endless hiking opportunities. Our two days here were probably the most naturally stunning part of our visit to Georgia.
