A week ago, Rai celebrated his 9th birthday! A small group of his friends gathered for a treasure hunt in our neighborhood, followed by games, a gift exchange and, of course, lots of food! Soon after, his birthday gift arrived in the mail from Germany: a brand new guitar. Rai's high school buddy, Kris, has gotten him interested in guitar and he's ready to learn. It's time for Rai and I to learn the guitar together -- this is exciting! Happy Birthday, Rai -- we love you more every day and are so proud of the young man that you are growing into!
