Singapore in Black and White

Hidden away in small pockets of green, scattered all over the island, are Singapore's "black and white" districts. These are tiny enclaves of grand historic homes known as "black and white houses". Recently, we made the effort to visit three of the city's best black and white districts: Alexandra Park just across the road from our high school campus, Adam Park which is not too far north of the Botanic Garden, and Goodwood Park, just up the road from our condo. It is a wonder that these treasures still stand in Singapore and we are glad that they do.
