The Weekend - Always Great!

Another weekend, another two days spent rolling around Singapore. On Saturday, we decided to visit probably the very last pair of parks that we haven't yet been to in Singapore. Way up north in the area of Singapore known as Woodlands, we found the beautifully natural Admiralty Park. Our timing was a bit off as a big portion of the park is closed for landscaping and, we had to hide under some trees while a big thunderstorm blew past. Once we had a chance, we retreated back to a mall for some udon and sushi before heading back to another park, Woodlands Waterfront Park, with a long jetty bringing us out probably to the very edge of Singapore's water border and Johor Bahru in Malaysia almost close enough to touch. On Sunday, the boys convinced us to spend a few hours at the Jurong Swim Center and we ended the day in the Japanese and Chinese Gardens. It was good to spend some more time in these gardens -- it has been a long time since we have been to Jurong Town!  These days, many of our visits have the feeling of being perhaps our last visit. The end of the year is approaching and, with it, the end of our time in Singapore.
