Off the Grid
These last few years, we've witnessed a lot of changes in the Presidio. First, one of the most
beautiful old buildings in the Main Post was renovated and re-opened as the Inn at the Presidio. Then, another building became the Walt Disney Family Museum. Since then, the Doyle Drive Project has transformed the highway system connecting San Francisco to the Golden Gate Bridge through the Presidio. Finally, the old Officer's Club has just re-opened after a prolonged
renovation. San Francisco's oldest building is ready to see visitors
again! With all those changes, the Presidio has been hosting a lot of family events, too, including the very popular "Off the Grid" picnic on Sundays. That name may not be so appropriate any more -- the Presidio is not feeling as "off the grid" as it once did. More relevant to us than all of that, however, is that we've seen our rent go up about 30% in 3 years. All that other work has to be funded somehow, right?
