Every evening, when I lay in bed with Rai and he recounts the highlights of his day for me, he tells me all
about Harper, one of his friends at school. He really loves her. Of all the girls in his preschool class, she is definitely the sweetest. While some of the other girls seem to be 4 years old going on 15, Harper stands out as kind and caring, and warm without exception. Today was Harper's birthday party and Rai has been getting excited about this one for weeks. Every night, he has told me that he will give Harper a big hug and a kiss when he sees her, while wishing her a "Happy Birthday!". Unfortunately, when the big moment finally arrived, he froze. He just couldn't do it. Two hours later, as the party neared it's end, he finally gave her that hug. Nice work Rai!
