Every year, near the end of November, Riga hosts the Staro Riga festival, a celebration of the coming of winter, celebrated in lights. Translated to Riga Radiates, or Riga Shining, the festival includes dozens of art and light installations throughout the city. Every year brings unique shows and installations and, this year, one of the highlights was a light show timed to live choral performance in St.Peter's Church.
