Camping in Big Sur

One of of our favorite places in the world is Big Sur and one of our favorite places in one of our favorite places is Limekiln State Park. It really is a piece of heaven on Earth and, after years of feeling like this place was still a bit of a secret, we found out, on this latest visit, that it has been discovered. The secret is out. Now, we just have to work a little harder and hike just a little further up each trail to find the peace and solitude that Big Sur can offer. As Henry Miller wrote, "It is here in Big Sur that I first learned to say "amen"." It's hard not to agree with a statement like that although now its more like a choir singing "Amen" together.
