Forgotten Singapore

When we feel the need to escape the hustle and bustle of modern Singapore, we head north. In parts of the northern island, far from MRT stations, there are places that seem to be left behind or, as I prefer to see it, left alone. While skating and scootering along the canals in the southern Buangkok area, we happened upon Lorong Buangkok, the last kampong (or village) in Singapore. We've visited this village before but were excited to find it just by chance while exploring this part of the city. It really is incredible that this kind of place still exists on this island.
