2 Weeks Back Down Under - Day 10: Albany

Not much further along the coast lies the town of Albany, Western Australia's oldest settlement and once a legitimate contender for capital of Western Australia before Perth won that political battle. As a result, Albany retains lots of history but also a quiet, fishing town feel with not a great deal happening around town beyond the tourism. As in Denmark, however, the coastline here is spectacular and gave us a wonderful place to spend some of our final days in Australia. After wandering the old town, we enjoyed some of its fine beaches with the inappropriately named Misery Beach likely being the most beautiful, secluded beach we've discovered in this part of Australia!
